What is WhatsApp Web
WhatsApp Web is an extension of WhatsApp which allows you to send and receive WhatsApp messages on the large screen of your computer.
Before the release of WhatsApp Web, users were required to install an Android emulator called BlueStacks onto their computer, in order to use WhatsApp on PC. With WhatsApp Web, you no longer need to install BlueStacks, you can simply use WhatsApp Web client to get the WhatsApp messaging system on your PC.
The problem though is that Microsoft Edge browser is not compatible with WhatsApp. Gimp website down. Hence, we will be using the steps below to enable and use WhatsApp Web on Edge browser.
Use WhatsApp on Microsoft Edge Browser
While WhatsApp is still not officially compatible with Microsoft Edge browser, there is a little trick that allows you to enjoy the popular messaging system right now on your Windows 10 PC, without making a switch to WhatsApp compatible browsers like Google Chrome or FireFox.

1. Open Microsoft Edge Browser on your Windows 10 computer.
2. Visit WhatsApp Web.
2. You will be landing on web.whatsapp.com page which looks like the image below.
As you can see from the image above, Microsoft Edge Browser is missing from the list of WhatsApp compatible browsers.
Hence, the next steps below to trick WhatsApp to generate a QR code that will allow you to use WhatsApp Web on Microsoft Edge.
3. Next hit F12 key on your Keyboard to launch the Developer Tools Window.
4. Click on Emulation Tab in F12 developer tools (See image below)
5. Look for User agent String (Under Subheading Mode) and click on it.
6. Using the drop menu, change the user agent string value from Microsoft Edge (Default) to Mozilla Firefox, Chrome or Opera.
7. Go back to the first tab, where you first opened WhatsApp Web on Microsoft Edge browser.
8. Now you should be able to see the WhatsApp QR code on this page. Just refresh the page/tab, in case you do not see it.

9. Scan the QR code using WhatsApp on your mobile phone or tablet. As mentioned at the beginning of this post, WhatsApp Web just extends WhatsApp from your mobile phone to a Desktop or laptop. You still need a smartphone with WhatsApp installed on it.
10. Once the QR code has been scanned by your phone or tablet the webpage will refresh and you will see WhatsApp messages on your computer screen.
